My competition isn’t other gyms or trainers.

Hell, it’s not even McDonalds.

It’s actually something far more insidious.

My competition is a false narrative around what it takes to actually be “healthy.”

It’s the belief and story we tell ourselves, based on societal pressures that hold us back.

It’s an unrealistic and extreme interpretation and perspective of the world.

It’s living in a world of either being right or wrong, good or bad, failing to miss the opportunity in the grey areas - where change and growth actually happens.

It’s not leading with intention connected towards our deeper values and priorities.

Yeah.

That’s my competition.

And it’s in my own mind as much as it is yours.

We’re humans.

We’re in this together.

So tell me:

What’s a belief you have (or once had) that’s held you back from taking healthy action?

Agreed! You couldn't have said this better: My competition is a false narrative around what it takes to actually be “healthy.”

People don't want to invest in the lifestyle change! We want easy fixes which often make it worse. Thanks as always for sharing your insights!
